Fake Spring, or Real Spring?

It's feeling very spring-like at the allotment. Tulips, Snowdrops, Daffodils (And weeks!) are all starting to pop up. Only a few weeks from now, the plot will look entirely different, colourful, a nice contrast to the months of monotone of dead bindweed, woodchip and soil. I'm told it could be a 'fake spring' and not to get too excited, but nevertheless, there's plenty that needs doing.
I've been waiting for a sunny day to arrive, so I can test the automatic opening greenhouse vent that I fitted last week, you have to wait for the right temperature that you want it to open, and then screw it in until the window just opens. It looks like I'd already set it about right, as it was wide open when I got to the allotment. While I was there, I had a pocket full of screws from an earlier job, so decided to do a few little jobs.

We have been focusing on tidying up the last few visits, at this time of year it makes sense as theres almost no weeds, and nothing much growing, so you can really see what's there. One thing I've moved around so much is canes, I can never find anywhere to store them, and all the 'life hacks' like putting them in pallets, are not great. I decided to use a bit of spare wood to make a cradle for them, to keep them off the ground, I can also add all the spare wood here later, and cover it with a tarp in winter.

We had some old drawers at home, but rather than fill them with compost and use them as seed trays, I decided I needed a slightly better storage solution in the shed, so I used that same spare wood to build a little shelving unit for the shed, a home for all the tools, and smaller items that cant hang up

It fits nicely, and is just the right size for all the spare bits that were always floating around.

Finally, now the greenhouse is regulating its temperature a little better, I planted some extra seeds (Sunflowers today) and moved the water but next to it, in preperation for the new automatic watering system arriving this week.
